BlogHer 2013, Missing Out

I try to live my life with no regrets, however, one thing I lament not doing was attending BlogHer 2011 when it was in San Diego. I remember discussing going with my husband but, frankly, can’t recall why I didn’t. I even intended to drive down just to have dinner with some fellow bloggers, and again can’t recall why I didn’t. I wish I had.

This year, BlogHer is in Chicago and going on now. I love Chicago and one of my closest friends lives in a suburb. I wish I’d been able to go. I’ve been blogging for almost four years but have been a reader/commenter for over six. As much as I’d like to attend the conference, I’d really like the opportunity to meet some of my favorite bloggers in person. There are women to whom I owe a debt of gratitude for shepherding me through the darkest time of my struggle with infertility. But, with my husband working and an infant at home and no family or reliable outside help to care for him (the baby, not my husband), it just wasn’t possible this year.

So, I was excited to learn that BlogHer is giving away FIVE full-conference passes to BlogHer 2014. I’m not sure where it will be but there’s a good chance it will be on the west coast if they continue their tendency to hold them on the east coast, mid-west, and west coast. We shall see (and given my abject fear of flying, would be a boon).

This post serves as one of the ways I can enter to win (and if you’d like the chance to win, read about how to enter here).

Wish me luck :)
